Full Description
Aston and Dalton House, Station Street.
January 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Mid-17th-century house raised and refronted around 1830, subdivided 20th century.
Flint and brick, red brick facade of three storeys, six bays. Twelve-pane sashes, six-pane at attic. Modillion cornice. Gable stacks. 19th century addition side bay to south. North gable of 17th century knapped flint and brick diaperwork. To west, stucco two storey extension. At rear, addition of around 1830 with a 'curved bay window at first floor' (how is it supported?). Interior has principal staircase of around 1830 with plaster panels of allegorical and religious scenes.

Boundary walls of 18th- and 19th-century date to the east and north of these properties were separately listed Grade II in 1973. These are now recorded as NHER 68125.
