Summary

Metal-detecting in 2002 and subsequently before January 2012 recovered a late 13th or 14th century strap fitting, a post-medieval two part saddle pommel and a post-medieval copper alloy disc engraved with an arrow. Roman and post medieval finds have been discovered nearby (NHER 36064 and 36065) and medieval and/or post medieval cropmarks are recorded in the vicinity (NHER 26913 and 26915).

Medieval copper alloy folding strap clasp, sides of folding end recessed for plain frame, recessed plate folded widthways and pierced by single rivet, 30mm (unfolded) by 14mm. Late 13th/14th century.
