Summary

A former Friend's (Quaker) Meeting House built in 1701 and converted into a library in the 1960s. The cemetery remains at the rear of the building.

This building had several periods of disuse, 1796-1814, 1872-4 and 1881-1905 before passing out of use in 1937. The brickwork is English bond, the roof which had formerly been thatched, was rebuilt to a lower pitch and is now slate.
