North transept chapel has armorial bearings c.1527. [1].
Brass of a man in armour dates 1411 is a mistake for 1511, see (S1).
1st April 1848. 14th or 15th century bronze key found in churchyard.

13th century tower and nave west wall, with reused Norman material. Belfry and most of church 14th century, in more than one build. Thorough remodelling in 15th and early 16th century. Some important tombs and furnishings, including inscriptions. See (S2).

Site report for NHER 37647 indicates church stood on prominent mound before the surrounding land was built up.

2012. A grinning demon figurine has recently been recorded high in the roof beams. This is one of a series of beautifully carved vices, depicted as deformed figures with animal features, that are matched to their opposite virtues in the shape of one of the twelve Apostles (S4).
