Map

Pre 1974. Between Rows 4 and 5. Grid reference by [1] via E.B. Green (NCM), 1975.
In box in GYM marked 'Yard B' with this reference and label 'Below yellow clay 2 feet 3 inches (68cm)' are medieval pottery (needs sorting) and ?Santoinge ware sherd.
Seen E. Rose (NAU), November 1982.

Source [2] quotes [3] as saying that after World War Two an archaeological excavation took place on bomb damaged houses in Row 4, behind the bakery, which revealed three sets of foundations not belonging to the houses (does this mean superimposed foundations?). It seems probable that the above material came from this excavation, of which no other record has yet been traced.
E. Rose (NLA), 27 September 1993.
