Full Description
1969. Remains of lime kiln not marked on (S1).
E. B. Green (NCM).
Unusual brick vaulted store room off.
See (S2).
E. Rose (NLA).
No local limeburners, but several brickmakers referenced in directories. It is possible that this kiln was owned and run by the Hare Estate, which owned a lot of the land around Shouldham and the brick style matches the style of the brick kilns on the estate.
