NHER 4732 (Find Spot record) - Roman pottery finds, River Wissey

(a) Sherd of thin hard blackish ware, clay pinched up at intervals on the surface to form a thin irregular rib, possibly imitating Rusticated Ware.
(b) Fragment of rim of bulbous pot with rim rolled outwards, grey core with dark fumed surface, ornamented with burnished zones.
©. Fragment with rim of small bowl of fine hard thin fine grey ware.
(d) Fragment of rim of 'British gritted ware' pot.
(e) Fragment of Castor ware vase red paste with brown slip coating.
(f) Fragment of large pot of coarse hard, dark grey ware.
(g) Base of large colour-coated pot, cream ware with dark brown slip.
(h) Part of base, hard grey ware with fumed surface, ornamented on body with wavy line made with smooth pointed rod.
(i) Base of pot, fine hard light grey ware with dark fumed surface.
(k) Base of pot, coarse and gritty, but somewhat soft dark grey ware.
