Summary

A Neolithic flint scraper, arrowheads and an antler were found. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of Late Neolithic and Bronze Age worked flints and a piece of Roman pot. A spread of worked and burnt flint was recorded.

Full Description

1970. Context 2 at 7046 9438.
Flint scraper found on surface. Other material found including scrapers, arrowheads, antlers etc.
One flint scraper seen by T.H. Mck Clough (NCM) and W.F. Milligan (NCM).
T. Clough (NCM).

20 March 1987. Fenland fieldwalking well weathered soil.
Context 1 general scatter. MTW DI.
Flints over field, also an Roman sherd at context 2 above.
Flints Bronze Age and Late Neolithic - F. Healy (NAU).

Context 3 at 7053 9448. MTW 118.
Sparse spread of flints and couple of potboilers on a low chalky marl ridge. Some bone but this probably not associated for it appears across field. Maximum 19m northeast to southwest x 16mnorthwest to southeast at 1m OD.
