Summary

During the 19th century a layer of shells was reported about 60cm below the ground surface here. The discovery of deer antlers was also noted.

'In the low meadow behind the mill, a regular stratum of small shells is found at the depth of two feet (60cm). The horns of the stag have also been found here.' (S1).
