Summary

This seven storey brick tower mill was built in 1824 and was last worked by wind in 1912. It was built to replace NHER 15000. There is also a granary and a bake house of 1867 connected to the mill by a weather-boarded loading bay. The mill house was built around 1800 although it may contain some parts of an older building.

Full Description

August 1975. Visit.
Tower mill. Brick tower alone survives.

Very tall. Tower survives to full height, cap missing. Crenellations have since been added to top.

Built between 1797 and 1836 as it supercedes site NHER 15000, appearing on (S1).

(S2) adds a granary to the east and a bakehouse of 1867 connected to the mill by a weatherboarded loading bay. The mill house of around 1800 is said to be on an older core.
