Various finds from old O.S field 597 (Curtis Field 126).
1954. Stray Find.
Found by F. Curtis:
1 Early Neolithic flint leaf arrowhead (Coll. No. Various 293). Identified by F. Healy (NAU). Information from (S1).
P. Watkins (HES), 16 November 2013.
1965. Stray Find.
Found on surface of ploughed field by F. Curtis, 502m (550 yds) northeast of Breccles Farm (TL 6890 8714). 14 prehistoric pottery sherds. Information from (S2). See copy of Curtis' location sketch in file.
According to (S1) these include 1 Beaker/?Bronze Age sherd and 13 predominantly grog-tempered Bronze Age sherds. These sherds are now held by the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1965.198) and a number are illustrated in (S1) (Fig. 103 P369-371). Also listed in (S3).

1952-1964. Stray Finds.
Curtis' catalogue lists a number of additional finds that were also found in this field (F35), but for which little additional information is given. The worked flints listed in (S1) are as follows:
1 Mesolithic microlith.
2 Early Neolithic leaf arrowheads.
2 Neolithic flint axes (1 ground).
7 scrapers.
11 other implements of unspecified types.
