A cropmark of a ring ditch of probable Bronze Age date is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4). This cropmark was previously recorded as part of NHER 14676. The ring ditch is sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 25m. It is likely that it is of Bronze Age date and that it relates to a round barrow. The ring ditch cropmark is cut by a post medieval field boundary. It is likely that the barrow mound was still visible when the field boundary was laid out and that the boundary was deliberately placed across it. This ring ditch forms part of a dispersed barrow cemetery (NHER 50705).
J. Albone (NMP), 27 November 2007
