Summary

During the early 20th century a number of prehistoric worked flints were recovered by W. G. Clarke at a site on the "top of Bromehill", the exact location of which is unknown. Surviving finds from this site include a potentially Late Upper Palaeolithic flint blade and a number of Neolithic worked flints.

During the early 20th century prehistoric worked flints were collected W. G. Clarke at a number of locations in the Weeting area, including the "top of Bromehill" (Clarke's Site 30). Information from (S1). The exact location of this site is unknown, although it was probably in the vicinity of TL 805 885.

The Norwich Castle Museum hold a number of finds from this site, these listed simply as "Neolithic flint implements" (NWHCM : 1926.32.30). The Thetford Museum also holds several finds from Clarke's Site 30, including an end scraper (THEHM : 1978.539) and a potentially Late Upper Palaeolithic long flint blade (THEHM : 1979.10). The later was identified by R. Jacobi and is described in (S2).
