Summary

It is recorded that a pair of mugs were recovered from the Broomhill area of Weeting with Broomhill parish, and are now thought to be in the Thetford Museum. They may date to the late medieval or early post medieval period. The exact date and location of their discovery are unclear.

Broomhill.
Two dark green glazed drinking mugs late 14th - 15th century.
Thetford Museum, (S1) (mention, Jope) - pottery St John's College, Oxford.
R. R. Clarke (NCM).

These mugs, still at Thetford Museum in 1998, reidentified in ref (S2) as 16th/17th century. Stated to have been found 'when raising gravel at Broomhill'.

The latter point suggests sites NHER 5651 or NHER 5642 may be the correct site.
