Full Description
January 2008. Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey.
Sheringham Wood Site 24:
A bank measuring approximately 3-4m wide and 0.5m high was identified during a rapid earthwork survey of Sheringham Wood and corresponds to a boundary marked on early 19th century maps. While this boundary is located outside of Sheringham Wood, it appears to link to the outer boundary and may be contemporary. A section of lesser bank also extends for 35m to the southeast from a point approximately 25m from the junction of the bank with the boundary of Sheringham Wood.
