Summary

At some time before 1923 a collection of Roman pottery sherds were recovered from near to St Helen's Well. The Forestry Commission at Santon Downham also have a number of Roman sherds, flue tiles, brick and tile marked 'near St Helen's Well'. It is possible these come from either here or NHER 5683.

Forestry Commission at Santon Downham have a number of Roman sherds, flue tiles, brick and tile marked 'near St Helen's Well' some of them from [1]'s 'Site XX' (NHER 5674).
Some may come from NHER 5683 which is a Roman site near well.
Also one medieval glazed handle sherd.
