Summary

A chamber with tunnels leading off of it was found under the street in 1967. It has been suggested that this was a Neolithic or more likely a medieval flint mine.

Hole with tunnels leading off found under street. Was identified by B. Davison as a Neolithic flint mine, but E.B. Green (NCM) states it was more probably medieval.
