Full Description
Ring ditch visible on Google Earth in July 2006.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 21 October 2008.
See also NHER 51854 for another ring ditch to the south.
A. Cattermole (NLA), 17 February 2009.
June 2011. Norfolk NMP.
NMP mapping has altered the central grid reference of the site from TG 11296 03123 to TG 1128 0313.
The ring ditch described above is visible as a cropmark on Google Earth aerial images from 2006 (S1). It probably marks the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. The cropmark of its northwest side is obscured by the adjacent field boundary and modern agricultural marks, but the ring ditch is broadly circular in plan and measures approximately 25m in diameter.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 23 June 2011.
September-October 2010. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Field 1).
Corresponding sub-circular anomaly identified, measuring approximately 24m in diameter.
See report (S2) and NHER 55987 for further details.
S. Howard (HES), 18 August 2011. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 10 February 2021.
