Summary

A ring ditch, probably marking the site of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and as a sub-circular anomaly on a geophysical survey undertaken in 2010. A second ring ditch (NHER 51854), also interpreted as a possible round barrow, lies only 110m to the south.

The ring ditch described above is visible as a cropmark on Google Earth aerial images from 2006 (S1). It probably marks the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. The cropmark of its northwest side is obscured by the adjacent field boundary and modern agricultural marks, but the ring ditch is broadly circular in plan and measures approximately 25m in diameter.
