The property comprises a small clay lump barn constructed in the nineteenth century. The roof is of red clay pantiles. The barn sits on a brick and flint plinth, and the clay lump walls are finished externally with tar. A low level door with timber lintel is located in the rear gable wall. The floors are concrete with some areas of brick. A high level casement window is located in the east gable, above the barn doors.
Permission has been sought to convert the barn to form an annex to Mayfield farm cottage.
