Summary

A trackway of probable post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs. It appears to relate to the former course of the Taverham/Attlebridge parish boundary, visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map, but which had moved to the north by 1964. It may also form part of the possible Iron-Age to Roman coaxial field system represented by NHER 52376,52377, 52379, 52380, 52382 and 52384.

A trackway of probable post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1), stretching southwest-northeast from TG 1563 1610 to TG 1576 1623. It appears to relate to the former course of the Taverham/Attlebridge parish boundary, visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (S2), but which had moved to the north by 1964.
It may also form part of the route of Shillgate Way, a trackway or road of possible Anglo-Saxon origin which is depicted on a map of Taverham Parish dating to 1740 (S3). It may also form part of the possible Iron-Age to Roman coaxial field system represented by NHER 52376,52377, 52379, 52380, 52382 and 52384.
