Summary

A large Late Saxon vessel was found in the garden of this property in 1937. The vessel is a grey fabric with applied strips with fingertip decoration.

A large grey pot with applied strips with fingertip decoration was found in the garden.

1980.
Mrs J. Carr (Thetford Museum) located the house as No.1 Newtown from the 1938 directory.
Although this grid reference is physically in the Old London Road, the address for this house has always been No.1 Newtown.
