Map

No mapped location recorded.

1962. Around 46m (50yds) south of railway bridge on Norwich Road. Approximately at location [1].
Human skeletal remains.
Held by NCM after recovery by the Norfolk County Constabulary.
R. R. Clarke (NCM).

But grid ref is bridge on Croxton Road.
E. Rose (NAU).

A second card by Clarke (NCM), found by W. F. Milligan (NCM) in 1987 gives date as 1961 not 1962; information otherwise the same but adds that remains were an inhumation burial of a child, orientation not ascertained, that they were found on a housing estate. Same grid ref is given but here road is called A11 (Norwich Road). Did Clarke (NCM) simply mistake the two roads on the map, or did his informant get the location wrong?
There are housing estates in both areas.
E. Rose (NAU) 17 March 1987.
