Various finds known to have been recovered in the Larling area of what is now Roudham parish during the late 19th century and/or early 20th century but with little additional information regarding provenance.

FINDS IN MUSEUM COLLECTIONS

According to its records the Pitt Rivers Museum (Oxford) hold a flaked "stone" implement of unspecified type that had been found at Larling (1884.125.90.4). This object was part of the Pitt Rivers founding collection and therefore must have been found prior 1884.

OTHER REPORTED DISCOVERIES

Notes made by W. G. Clarke record that Neolithic flints of "Boulder Clay Type" had been recovered in Larling. Information from (S1). No other details are recorded. Although no reference is made to these finds in (S2), Clarke listed Larling in (S3) as a location at which "Neolithic chipped" flint implements had been found, suggesting that these had been found between 1907 and 1919. The finder of these object is listed as F. Manning.
