Map

Course of Brettenham to Brigham Road in 1826 on (S1).
Visible as a soilmark.
E. Rose (NAU)

Linear soilmark on this line but a little further north than on map, between the two leg of mutton plantations, noted by tractor driver in June 1991. Is this a road, or a later field boundary?
W. Milligan (NCM) 27 June 1991.

The same soil mark appears on NAU air photograph TL 9384/G, 12 July 1989; it does appear to be the road and is on the line marked on the map.
E. Rose (NLA) 1 February 1994.

February 2011. Norfolk NMP.
Assessment of the aerial photographs for this area did not reveal any convincing traces of the line of this road. The line of the ‘road’ as visible on (S2) is marked as a field boundary on Ordnance Survey first edition map (S3).
S. Horlock (NMP), 16 February 2011.
