Timber framed barn: Tiebeams between expanded posts below principal rafters with mortises suggesting there were double arched braces to the ties. Some diagonal windbracing. Two levels of clasped purlins. Dated as 17th century. A larger and allegedly older barn was burnt down and only the plinth remains.
Lofted stable: 17th century, timber frame with wallposts and diagonal bracing; braced tiebeams. Stopped and chamfered beams to loft; possibly used as dwelling.

November 1999. Listed, Grade II*.
17th century barn and stable, remodelled and extended in the mid-late 18th century, further extended and altered in the mid-19th century. Timber framing with wattle and daub infill, with 20th centuty brick repair to barn and some weatherboarding. 19th century additions in clay lump and Flemish bond brickwork. Clay pantile roof coverings.
This complex of farm buildings is an unusually complete example of a farmstead with vernacular buildings pre-dating the improvements of the mid C19. The barn, stable and cartshed display significant vernacular characteristics and functional detail which distinguish buildings of the period within this historically significant agricultural region. The C19 additions, also in the vernacular tradition, and partly built of clay lump form an important component of this group, demonstrating the significantly improved standard of buildings for housing cattle.
