Summary

This feature, along with further ring ditches located in close proximity, may be part of a dispersed Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NHER 56267).

ORIGINALLY RECORDED UNDER 11666 AND 52544.

November 2011
A crop mark of a ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs from 1996 and 2006 (S1 to S6). Other ring ditches are located nearby (NHER 56266) indicating this may be part of a dispersed Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NHER 56267).

The cropmarks of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch (see above) are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S7). The ring ditch most likely relates to the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. The ring ditch appears to be cut by a possible later boundary ditch (NHER 52544). This ring ditch, along with further ring ditches located in close proximity, may be part of a dispersed Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NHER 56267).
