Map

1967. Field Observation.
Traces of what appears to be the remains of the hospital of St. John the Baptist were located at no. 50 Norfolk Street.
Information from (S1). See NHER 5487 for further details.
M. Langham-Lopez (HES), 20 May 2013.

1984. Field Observation.
Nos. 49 and 50 Norfolk Street share the base of a large stack which is off-centre towards the west.
During assessment of No. 50, a wall was uncovered between this building and No. 51 (NHER 58813). It has been suggested that this wall is part of the remains of St John the Baptist's Hospital (NHER 5487), which once stood at this location. Where the wall was revealed, the gable was also visible to the north and a vertical offset was observed, showing the corner of the original building. The roof of No. 50 is all of later date.
See (S2) for further information.
M. Langham-Lopez (HES). 21 May 2013.
