Summary

This small Bronze Age burial mound is located on the Edgefield to Plumstead Road and appears to be very similar in form and date to the mounds on Salthouse Heath.

The monument is located on the Edgefield to Plumstead Road, roughly 67m (220ft) OD on the north side, 64m (70yds) from the fence where heath commences on west and 16.5m (18yds) from the road.
A low tumulus, 3.6m (4yds) in diameter, about 30cm (1ft) high was recorded.
(This tumulus appears very similar to the early Iron Age tumuli on Salthouse Heath - A. Q. Watson.)
No sign of mound on snow covered pasture.

The Salthouse mounds are now thought to be Bronze Age.
