Summary
A complete Roman pot was found between 1814 and 1815 on Colby Common. It was used as a pitcher for collecting water until it was broken.

Full Description
Upon Colby Common a labourer found an Roman urn imbedded in the marl. It was used many years as a pitcher to fetch water till accidentally broken. It was found about 1815-4. No evidence as to date.
