Summary

St Margaret is a flint building with a late 13th century chancel containing a handsome double piscina of Purbeck marble. The east bay of the north aisle is in the Decorated style, though the rest of the church is in the Perpendicular style. The main roofs date to 1868, although the arch-braced roods are early 16th century and there remains some tracery work in the spandrels. Inside is a particularly attractive and interesting screen from the 15th century, depicting a large number of animals and saints in allegories and stories from the Bible.
