Summary

The earthworks of a mound, interpreted as a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. This probable barrow, along with NHER 29253, 33412, 61983-5, form a barrow cemetery (NHER 61986) – which is itself located in close proximity to numerous other barrows, forming a dispersed cemetery landscape group (NHER 61484) in this area.

The earthworks of a mound, interpreted as a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data (S1). This mound measures 20m across and has possible traces of an outer ditch. The mound is truncated on its eastern side by a route through the plantation. This probable barrow, along with NHER 29253, 33412, 61983-5, form a barrow cemetery (NHER 61986) – which is itself located in close proximity to numerous other barrows, forming a dispersed cemetery landscape group (NHER 61484) in this area.
