Summary

The earthworks of a circular embanked enclosure, with a possible central mound, interpreted as a possible Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on the 0.5m resolution Lidar data. This feature is located within the area of NHER 36831, the location of a possible prehistoric burnt mound. Its proximity to other more convincing barrow mounds, eg. NHER 29253, 33412, 61982 & 62025, would suggest that this may also relate to a barrow, forming part of a barrow cemetery (NHER 61986) – which is itself located in close proximity to numerous other barrows, forming a dispersed cemetery landscape group (NHER 61484) in this area.
