Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a small number of prehistoric flint scrapers and flakes as well as noting some pot boilers and at least two concentrations of pot boilers and charcoal. Pottery sherds from the Roman, Early Saxon, medieval and post medieval periods were also recorded, as were a large quantity of vitrified brick and slag which may indicate that metal working took place on this site.
