1960s - 1970s. Surface finds.
Context 1. Surface scatter. Three flint scrapers, two retouched flakes, five flakes, five prehistoric sherds, five medieval rims, two sherds, four post medieval sherds, two bricks.
Identified by A. J. Lawson (NAU).
Context 2 at 3262 3106 (former NHER 7037): 12th - 13th century sherds found (information from NCM card S1).
Context 3 at 3230 3097 (former 7038): two scrapers and prehistoric sherds on surface (NCM card S1).
Both context 2-3 material included in list for context 1 as not kept separate.
'About a hundred fire sites in this fields'.
