Full Description
Previously recorded under NHER 1111.
Pilot Street. Houses, awaiting demolition in 1974.
S. Dunmore (NAU), April 1974.
These houses have not been demolished but are being restored.
Nos. 8-18 are of 19th century brick, with some good porch consols.
E. Rose (NAU), 6 July 1977.
(S1) states that No. 10 (one of those not listed) is the former Pilot Hoy public house. (S2) states that this contains the last cockle boiler and sail loft to remain in King's Lynn.
E. Rose (NLA), 9 May 2005.
(S3) also suggests that this building was once the Pilot Hoy public house, but this seems unlikely since (S4) states that that public house was in existence on Pilot Street in 1764, and this building appears to date from the 19th century.
A. Cattermole (King's Lynn UAD), 5 June 2019.
