Full Description
1960s.
Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint flake knife.
Roman sherds and tile fragments, ?Roman daub, ?Roman double spiked loop.
Medieval/post medieval iron spur.

Roman sherds found after ploughing 1963.

More sherds 1968 2nd - 3rd century or later [2] + 1 medieval (in fact the medieval sherd was found 5 miles away!)

Sherds and brick tesserae.

The 1963 ploughing revealed sherds in dark patches, and 'clay wall' found by farmer. Much iron slag, small trench revealed ?stoke-hole - dark soil with charcoal, sherds, slag. Much colour-coated and calcite ware.
1968 sherds were colour-coated and Samian.
Originally decribed as 'Medieval moated site'!
April 1988. Found in fieldwalking.
Late Roman coarse wares and 4th century colourcoated ware.
Miscelaneous tile.
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU).
