This is the site of a Baptist Chapel which stood on Broad Street. There had been a strong Baptist presence in King's Lynn since 1687 when the evangelist Thomas Grantham preached in the town. In 1808 in response to an increasing congregation, a new Baptist Chapel was erected at a cost of £1269. It was demolished at some time in the 1960s.
The burial ground associated with this Baptist chapel was uncovered during excavations in 2005 (NHER 37719).
