Summary

A post medieval limekiln that ceased to function in the 19th century and was then converted into two cottages, one above the other. After an unsuccessful attempt at restoration in the 20th century the upper cottage was demolished.

Information from Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society, 9 February 1984:
Limekiln ceased to function in last century and was converted into cottages, one above the other, the upper one entered from higher ground at the rear. After an unsuccesful attempt at restoration earlier this century the upper cottage was demolished.
