Summary

This is a post-medieval icehouse. Although the roof had collapsed when visited in 1978 the two stage tunnel could be seen sloping down to a roofless dome. The bricks used to build the ice house date to around 1850.

Icehouse. Roof has collapsed, but remains in excellent condition. Tunnel in two stages - second stage slopes down to now roofless dome, but floor level and not rounded in chamber. Brick around 1850.
