Forecourt wall of The Vicarage (NHER 15862).
Previously recorded under NHER 15862.
December 1950. Listed, Grade II.
Wall to south of main gateway explicitly included in listing designation for The Vicarage (NHER 15862). Listing Description excerpt:
"...Extending north and south along Vicar Street is attached forecourt wall of flint and brick. Gate pier to north. In southern section are a pair of square section gault brick gate piers enclosing a re-used wave-moulded stone arch in which is set a plank and muntin timber door."

Arch, late Norman or Transitional, presumably from abbey ruins. Set into yellow brick 19th-century wall as garden door.
