Full Description
December 2021. Listed, Grade II.
A standard red-painted cast-iron K6 telephone box located outside the entrance of a former mustard seed drying house (NHER 65657) at Colmans of Norwich, now Carrow Works (NHER 26409). It was likely installed in the 1940's. The 'TELEPHONE' display sign remains along with the original hinges on the timber door, but the interior telephone equipment was removed in the early 21st century. The K6 telephone boxes were designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1935.
