Full Description
Carrow Works.
Factory complex. Dates from around 1870 to around 1930.
A number of the surviving buildings are now listed Grade II including:
Blocks 7, 7A, 8 and 8A (NHER 58589). Brick, part around 1870, part dated 1881 and 1898; parapet 1939. Replaced original buildings of 1856 after a fire.
Block 60 (NHER 58591). Former barley and groat mill.
Block 92 (NHER 58590). 1857, 1874 and 1878; offices to original Paper Mill Yard.
Excluded from the listing are Blocks 5 and 20a-c in the centre of the complex.

There is also a fine cast iron sewer vent pipe, noted by A. Rogerson (NLA) and Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society.
