Summary

These flint cobble boundary walls are of probable 18th-century date. The wall to the north of Quay House (NHER 25851) has a ramped brick coping and 19th-century brick buttresses. The wall to the west of the former granary (NHER 67159) is of a similar height. Both walls are listed Grade II.

Listing Description excerpts:

Garden wall and gate piers on road frontage to north of Quay House:
"Front garden boundary wall to north of Quay House: probably 18th century; flint with ramped brick coping and 19th-century brick buttresses; about 6-7 ft high; west end 19th-century radiused back to gateway with buff brick piers and plain stone caps. Included for group value."

Wall on road frontage of Quay Cottage (explicitly included in listing for outbuildings north-east of Quay Cottage (NHER 67159)):
"Boundary wall along The Quay adjoining north-west of outbuildings: flint cobbles; probably 18th century; about 6 ft high, with modern gates. Included for group value."
