A possible mound has been identified at this location. Although it may be an archaeological feature, it is more likely to be undulation in the natural slope.

Rise in road noted by R.R. Clarke (NCM), who wondered if it had any significance.
As far as I can see, it has not. Apparently just part of the natural rise in the slope here.
