Summary

A medieval horseshoe was found when digging drains in 1879. When the causeway to Coltishall Bridge was repaired in 1896 many 'ancient weapons and implements' were recovered.

1879. Found 2.1 to 2.4m (7 to 8 feet) below surface when digging drain in Horstead side of Coltishall Bridge.
