Map

1941. Stray Find.
Found in garden:
1 prehistoric chipped flint axe. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1941.49). Information from (S1). Although originally identified as probably Neolithic this object is recorded in (S2) as a 'Norfolk-type' Mesolithic axehead, with a tranchet scar on its upper face.

Although this record was previously unmapped it seems reasonable to assume that this object was found in the garden of the house owned by its finder - 22 Salhouse Road, Rackheath.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 9 May 2014.
