Full Description
Perpendicular on older site. Roman coin and early medieval sherds in graveyard. For full details see report (S1) in file.

Listed grade II* (S2). E. Rose (NAU).
Church recorded on site since 12th century, but present building all Perpendicular ('Decorated' east window is Victorian). South porch with damged round piscina and mass dial. Tower fell in 1677, was replaced by in Georgian times by a box-like one then again in 1902 by a buttress-like bell cote. Inside is an overpowering painted roof (unfinished) of 1902 in 'German' style. Good Perpendicular piscina and sedilia in chancel; another piscina in southeast corner of nave. Painted dado of rood screen with fleur de lys pattern on back. Base of rood stair with peg holes in door; marks of unusually low rood beam. Mutilated traceried south door. Large Gothic Revival memorial, also good 18th century monuments. Octagonal font on Perpendicular pilastered stem.
