Summary

During construction of a cess pit in 1970 a possible medieval rubbish or cess pit was uncovered. The pit contained animal bones and a medieval gold and emerald finger ring.

Gold ring with emerald. Found about 4 ft 6 inches down in dark earth (?well, rubbish pit, or cess pit) with bones (?animal) in digging new cesspit. Inquest: not Treasure Trove.
