Full Description
Clovenhoue field name, from survey of 1292.
Manor Farm now on site.
Mentioned without any explanation by (S1).
R.R. Clarke (NCM) picked out this one field name from the many listed in the article as deserving a record card. Was he suggesting that this might have some connection with the Council of Clovesho, held in an unknown location in 803 (when it first mentioned Elmham as a See) ?Or was he suggesting it as a barrow name?
E. Rose (NCM)
1994.
Site now covered by farm and engineering works.
