Full Description
1971. Allenby Villa or cottages, Richmond Road.
Circular bread oven of brick, coated in lime, hair and plaster, in side of chimney cottage, probably 18th century.
Information from member of the public [1].
Cards by T. H. Mck. Clough (NAU).
This building has nothing remarkable on its exterior. Such ovens are not uncommon; one was discovered in 1983 in former Bell Inn to north, once four 18th century cottages.
E. Rose (NAU) 18 May 1983.
